Edit Post
This game was done after the 15th minute, as Tottenham were only able to produce 1 good chance after Peter Crouch was sent off. As expected, Real Madrid was too much for Harry Redknapp’s boys as they were toy around by the Los Blancos. The 2nd half was like seeing an amateur team against a professional team as Tottenham did nothing offensively but defend to no avail as they conceded 4 goals.

Real Madrid playing their usual formation of (4-2-3-1) with Adebayor playing the role of the target man was just plain perfect against Spurs as they shut them down defensively at midfield and protected their possession really well. Real Madrid was up 1 man the entire match, but they didn’t let it affect their game plan, as they patiently built plays and found uncontested shots. Adebayor was fantastic scoring 2 excellent goals and almost had a hat-trick but just denied by the post. Sergio Ramos was quiet offensively because he had a date with Garreth Bale the whole match, as he matched him stride for stride. Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t 100% in this match and it showed, but a 50% Ronaldo is still 99% better than your average professional football player.

Tottenham started their game with an (4-2-2-1-1) formation but after Crouch was sent off, they shifted into an (4-3-1-1) formation. They weren’t able to muster any offense as Rafael Van Der Vaart wasn’t able to produce any result from the lone striker position. Peter Crouch was a disappointment, earning 2 yellow cards for chasing the ball and doing stupid tackles on defenders. Tottenham were just overwhelm with the Los Blanco’s attack as they just chased the ball from left to right.

This series seems to be all over, as Tottenham will need a 4-0 win to be able to get to the next stage. They have to channel their inner Barcelona and try to find Real’s weakness, as they will do without the big giant, Peter Crouch. The next match is Real to lose, as they just need to play their normal game and do not concede 4 goals.
Goodbye Crouch, Goodbye Spurs
